What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is an event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development
and hardware development, including graphic designers, interface designers and project managers,
collaborate intensively on software projects.

1. $5,000.00
2. Participate in international virtual hack competition
3. Participate in code 1.0 competition in Puerto Rico during July 2016 All
expenses paid for winning team.
4. Video of team to showcase with the Caribbean
Step by Step Hackathon process
1. February 1st – 5th, 2016 – Submissions
2. February 6th- 8th, 2016 – Internal review of submissions
3. February 8th, 2016 – Instructions for demo
4. February 8th – 14th, 2016 – Duration to complete assignment
5. February 15th, 2016 – Virtual pitch to select finalists. Five top teams will be
selected to compete in the Hackathon. Names will be announced in local
media
